How to Update Apps and Plugins in Shopware 6

You can install new versions of Reqser by uploading a ZIP file in the Shopware admin panel—without disconnecting from Reqser.

These instructions apply to the ZIP upload under Extensions → My Extensions. If your agency installed the plugin via Composer, follow your usual Composer update process there.

Download ZIP

Download the latest app or plugin ZIP file from your Reqser Connection Settings (Downloads section) or under Downloads.

Open Shopware Admin

Open your Shopware admin panel and navigate to Extensions → My Extensions.

Upload ZIP file

Upload the ZIP file without opening it — do not unzip it first.

Start the update

Click Update and wait until Shopware has updated the extension.

Done

The connection to Reqser remains active. Check your connection settings to make sure you have the latest version installed.

Repeat these steps for App and—if installed—Plugin, using the appropriate ZIP file for each. On Shopware PaaS/SaaS, you only need to update the app; plugins are not supported there.
